SeniorArk:
I
wanted to bring to your attention some important
information that may contribute to the health resources
listed your website.
I work for a national
non-profit organization called EyeCare America.
Established in 1985, our organization is a public service
program of the Foundation of the American Academy of
Ophthalmology. We work to prevent avoidable blindness by
providing free eye health information written by board
certified ophthalmologists and provided by our parent
organization, the American Academy of Ophthalmology. At
the heart of our program,
EyeCare America provides eye
care services to the medically underserved and for those
at increased risk for eye disease through its corps of
7,200 volunteer ophthalmologists dedicated to serving
their communities.
More
than 90 percent of the care made available is provided at
no out-of-pocket cost to the patients. EyeCare America
includes programs for seniors, glaucoma, AMD, diabetes and
children, and is the largest program of its kind in
American medicine. Since its inception, EyeCare America
has helped more than 860,000 people.
We work directly with
several non-profit partners who help us spread the word
about our free eye health services. The organizations
include the Lions Eye Health Program, the Glaucoma
Research Foundation, Meals on Wheels, the National
Institute on Aging and the National Eye Institute.
We think that our
resource would be valuable to your web audience. Please
let me know if your organization would be interested in
adding our information and web link to your site .
More
information on our organization can be found at:

Thank you for your
consideration.
Best,
